Truefitt and Hill
In 1805 William Francis Truefitt opened his first Gentlemen's Barber
Shop at 2 Cross-Lane, Long Acre London. Throughout the early part
of the 19th century, when regular visits to the barber were essential
to facilitate the wearing of wigs by Gentlemen, Truefitt's barber
shop flourished.
In 1911 Edwin Hill & Co. set up a barber shop at 23 Old Bond Street
and it was to this address H. P. Truefitt moved in 1935 to form, the
still existing, Truefitt & Hill Truefitt & Hill occupies the position
of one of the leading men's barber shops in the world with locations
in London, Toronto, Chicago and Las Vegas.
Throughout its entire history, Truefitt & Hill and their predecessors
have been involved in the production of Hairdressings, Shampoos, Perfumes,
Colognes and Skin Care. The range of products bearing the name Truefitt
& Hill are unique; they each have produced their own decidedly masculine
fragrance range.
For nearly two centuries, Truefitt & Hill has provided discerning
gentlemen with only the finest in grooming products, it gives men
the opportunity to look and feel their very best. The future holds
many exciting projects for Truefitt & Hill, including extensions to
the traditional Truefitt & Hill range and the introduction of new
